"I'm sure the babies would love to participate in the #ShoutYourAbortion campaign, but they've been murdered and sold for parts."
"I love cats, too, and I think Cecil is a great name for a lion. In fact, if I ever get another cat I'm gonna name it Cecil in honor of this one. . . But how in the world can you get teary-eyed and misty-eyed and sad over Cecil and, at the same time, participate in burying what's happening at Planned Parenthood? Can somebody explain that to me?"
"This is the biggest hit Planned Parenthood has ever taken from a public relations standpoint. They simply have no defense for their Gosnell-like cavalier attitude toward reducing the remains of human babies to a 'product' that is sold on the open market."
"Women and families who make the decision to donate fetal tissue for lifesaving scientific research should be honored, not attacked and demeaned. Our medical practices and guidelines in this area are clear, and we do this important work just like other high-quality health care providers -- with full, appropriate consent from patients, under the highest ethical and legal standards, and with no financial benefit for the patient or Planned Parenthood."
“I feel that we have all sinned. None of us are perfect. No sin is greater than any sin. I don’t know why, other than that’s the only decision [abortion] that a woman could make. That’s her right to make that decision, because that’s her body.”
“If she appears smiling on camera, she is ‘wearing the mask,’ that is, she is hiding her actual state through a strategy of self-presentation that is a cultural legacy of slavery.”
“I may be a thief, but you’re a terrorist.”
Dr. Warren Hern, director of the Boulder Abortion Clinic, issued a scathing statement in response to Sacred Heart of Mary Church's announcement that it would stage a ceremony Sunday morning to bury the ashes of what Hern describes as surgical tissue from abortions and what the church describes as babies. The event marks the 32nd anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion.
Babies as "surgical tissue"? The "religious service" that "may not be acceptable" to the family? It's a proper burial for their children that is "really painful" for the mothers?
Kate Horle, spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, said most of Hern's patients have fetuses with fatal anomalies. His clinic specializes in "late abortion for fetal disorders," according to its Web site.
"These women are devastated," Horle said. "To discover that an entity is essentially taking it upon themselves to create a religious service that may not be acceptable to the family is probably really painful."
