The Poetry Society of Vermont will hold its annual Fall Luncheon and Workshop on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Juniper’s restaurant at the Wildflower Inn located at 2059 Darling Hill Road in Lyndonville, Vermont (802-626-8310).
The restaurant has an excellent reputation and the inn has wonderful vistas and some may wish to stay overnight (depending on space).
A PSOV Council meeting will run from 9:30 to 11:30am. This will be followed by the luncheon starting at noon. After a brief business meeting, the workshop will run from about 1:15 to 3:30 PM.
DIRECTIONS: take exit 23 off Interstate 91. Head north through Lyndonville on US Route 5 to the intersection of Route 114. Bear right and follow 114 for ½ mile. Take the left turn immediately following the second bridge you cross, onto Darling Hill Road. Juniper’s Restaurant at the Wildflower Inn is two miles up on the left.
SUBMISSION: for critique of poems at workshop (for members) mail ONE copy WITH author name to Will Meyer, PO Box 210, West Rupert VT 05776. These will be retyped into the computer for the Second Call packet, so it is OK to have the author name on the original. Or email (preferred) Will Meyer, at mbemeyer@sover.net including poem as an attachment. Do not use .jpeg, .tiff, or any other image file. Whether sent via post or email, please use Times New Roman 12 and SINGLE SPACE. Please mail or email your poem so that it arrives by Friday, September 23, 2016. Submissions will be acknowledged.
You may write on any topic and in any style.
Workshop reservation information and luncheon menu choices will be provided soon. Luncheon price is $23 per member attending.
