Each lecture will be on a topic chosen by the poet-lecturer, discussion between the poet and attendees to follow. Participating poets include Sydney Lea, Jay Parini, Major Jackson, David Budbill, Pamela Harrison, David Huddle, Neil Shepard, Diana Whitney, Baron Wormser, Mary Jane Dickerson, and Tamra J. Higgins. Lectures and discussions include topics like “Conjuring Voices of the Past: The Convergence of History and Poetry,” “Working with the Image: Inside to Out,” and “The Art of Concealing and Revealing in Poetry.”
At the culmination of the series, Sundog Poetry Center will publish an anthology of the series lectures and discussions as well as information about the participating independent bookstores and poets.
