"Some Nefarious Truth"?

The new Renée?
Saying "it seems the folks who come digging around for some nefarious truth which doesn't exist won't get off my porch until I answer the door," what Renée Zellweger has purportedly become decided to address the "silly" conversation about her dramatically-changed appearance.

Hollywood actresses regularly get their faces worked on. It's much rarer that they don't. And Hollywood actresses deny they've had plastic surgery all the time. The new Renee tosses it all off to aging and a changed mood.*

Okay, but what about fixing one's face could possibly be "nefarious"?

Plastic surgeons looking at her "radically changed face" think it required a bit more than time and better living, listing out the cosmetic procedures she likely had.

When did it all occur? Wouldn't this be done in phases, with periods of recuperation? They don't talk about any such schedule. Who performed the work? Where? Client-patient privilege will likely protect that information.

The face looks too elongated. The neck area, hands, and legs look older. What I've seen of any teeth on the new Renée appear to be caps. Plastic surgery experts don't mention these changes at all. Why have plastic surgery done that makes you appear older? Why have plastic surgery that makes you look like an entirely different person?

Especially for a Hollywood actress, such work is arranged to revive a youthful look. And with everything riding on your look—fame, fans, finances, future—why change it radically? You're not even the same celebrity (or person) if you do. You lose your career.

Perhaps there is "some nefarious truth" underlying all this suspicious activity. Something actually wicked or criminal, as the word suggests. Who was trying to get at such a wicked truth? Press on her porch? Or was this going on in her head.

Perhaps the lady doth protest too much.
Can forensic analysis now be done on before-and-after photos to see if this truly is the Renée Zellweger we know and love?

NOTE: This could all be a publicity stunt/hoax to get people to see her new movie (or to revive her career). Scheduled for release in 2015, we should all know soon enough what Renée looks like in The Whole Truth. Perhaps the title is prophetic, too.

*Others suggest it might be just bad makeup.
