| Where It's At . . |
Another reading at Catamount Arts on Saturday, April 5, 2014 starting at 11:30am.* Usually it's held in the cabaret space downstairs, but sometimes upstairs in the gallery.
We decided we'd use our April reading to present to the group what we'd like to read at the April 16 "A Night for Poetry" open mic at the Athenaeum (sign up quick).
Those not planning on participating in the open mic might keep in mind April is National Poetry Month. Celebrating that somehow might be the way to go. Or remember T. S. Eliot's The Waste Land opening: "April is the cruellest month . ." April is also known for Spring—which seems finally to have arrived here in Vermont. Other important things April makes famous? April Fools' Day, Confederate History Month, Earth Day, and the it's the month the baseball season kicks off. In Ancient Rome the month of April was sacred to the goddess Venus.
You are encouraged to go thematic or read at your heart's content. If you'd like to participate, just show up and say so. Refreshments very welcome (and often served).
Please invite a friend. We hope to see you there . .
