A Stowe Moment

Stopping in to get gas at a station with a Dunkin Donuts in Stowe, Vermont yesterday, she asked me: 'Cream and sugar?' Something about the way she asked it made me know she wasn't just asking if I wanted room for cream and sugar; that she was going to put them in herself. Nowadays I do coffee black, for the most part, but I could taste a better coffee coming my way if I let her do her thing. Sipping it I asked: 'You must know how to do this because of all the policemen you have coming through here.' She said: 'You know it's funny, we do have policemen coming in here and ordering coffee, but many of them order lattes.'
