Is It Really Okay to Write "Bad" Poetry?

What if you just have to write enough "bad" poems to fill in between all the good ones your Muse gives you?

What if writing "bad" poetry improves your skills enough so your Muse can use you better as an artist?

What if the willingness to write "bad" poetry, and publish it for all to see, is the price you have to pay for getting better?
